I recently acquired a 97 Piper Mirage, converted to a -35 Jetprop in November of 05. We had decided to redo the interior, exterior, and avionics, as well as update many mechanical needs. In effect, we wanted an almost new aircraft. After several inquiries to interior shops in the Southwest US, we decided to go with Flying Horse. As it turned out, they were courteous, accommodating, and hit their schedule within a week. The price was competitive, and the closeness to DFW airport proved to be an easy way to deliver the airplane, and recovery when done. I enjoyed the relationship, the people, and the work. After it was done, I found a couple of items which needed some slight modification, and Flying Horse courteously and quickly completed those items. Two of those items were not in the original contract, and I had a hard time getting them to take additional money for the work.
Flying Horse is a excellent interior shop, very detail oriented, and easy to work with. For those who fly in, there are 3 courtesy cars for getting some lunch, and inexpensive avgas and jet fuel at the "KGDJ" FBO. There is also a very good avionics shop on the field, with experience in such advanced aircraft as TBM 700's, Mirages, Mooneys, and A-36's. They did a good job on the avionics, and were competitive in their price. All in all, a good place to get a redo. I give them a 9.9 on a scale of 10!
